32 years ago my left leg was seriously injured from an auto accident (multiple fractures) The resulting leg diformities left limitations with knee flexion that has been a bad dream. In the few short weeks that I've seen Steve, he has provided me with less pain, discomfort and more range of motion than I've had in years. I've been told by many a health care professional, that nothing could correct this type of injury or condition. But the “Orthopedic” Massage Therapy that Steve performed has improved my quality of life and confidence in a huge way. I no longer feel 20 years beyond my age, and the almost 1 inch leg length discrepancy is now very negligible. Steve is a gifted, intelligent practitioner who truly cares about the people he touches and their results.

In 2000 I developed a post-op injury that has lasted until present time. After 3 yrs. Of seeing several doctors, and going through many therapies, the problem was still there. I then decided to try Massage therapy. Very lucky for me I met Steve. Since that time I have found Steve to be professional, yet caring (which is a lacking trait these days) person who has helped me through a pretty tough time. He has eliminated most of the pains in a very short amount of time, and is still helping to relieve even more. Steve read something to me during my first visit,” Getting older is required, Feeling older is optional”. It’s true! I have recommended Steve, and Orthopedic Massage to many of my family and friends. I’m a true believer in him and his work.

In 2/02 after weeks of pain, stiffness & interrupted sleep it was time to visit the Dr. I could no longer do my hair, button my shirt or fasten my bra. After X-rays, many different tests, injections & vioxx nothing worked. The next trip to the Dr’s produced a diagnosis of frozen shoulder with maybe a year or more to fade away. My arm finally became useless with even more pain and less flexibility. In 4/02 I saw Stephen an L.M.B.T. He spent a lot of time listening to my complaints along with an intense evaluation. He then explained what would be his treatment and protocol. The very first treatment produced more flexibility, and in only 7 treatments I was combing and washing my hair, buttoning my shirt and even fastening my bra. I owe all this to the great care and concern of Stephen. Massage therapy is much more than what people think. It also proved to me that a Dr’s assessment could be wrong.

In only 2 treatments, Orthopedic Massage has greatly reduced my lower and middle back pain. It has also alleviated the pressure and heartbeat that I have felt in my left ear that was so strong at times, it kept me awake at night. Not only will I continue to come for all the other benefits, but I am spreading the word.

I first visited Steve following a bad bicycle accident in which I had broken my right clavicle. This is very dis-heartening for someone who is a competitive cyclist. The break not only affected me physically, but cosmetically as well. My right arm, forearm and hand were not functioning correctly and this makes work very hard for a professional photographer. Steve was able to concentrate his efforts to give me the mobility that I was unable to achieve through conventional therapies including physical therapy. Steve kept my shoulder from freezing which allowed me to continue working. I have been to several “massage” therapists in the past for leg and back work during race seasons, but none like this. This time I knew I needed someone with more knowledge and experience to deal with the nerve, tendon and ligament damage that was caused as well as the muscular issues that I had going on. Steve was perfect. Steve not only got me back on my bike, but what he did allowed me to stay competitive. Since surgery to correct the cosmetic issues, I have completed two century road events as well as a 12 and 24 hour bike race. Upper body strength is a necessity for cycling, but especially mountain biking. I owe a great deal of thanks to Steve for allowing me to regain enough strength to work and play within a reasonable amount of time, before and after the operation.

After 6 months of severe knee pain, 2 quick visits along with some very sound sports advise I was able to return to running. End of story. Thanks.

I can not find the words to tell you how much your treatments have instilled a new seed of hope and inspiration to my life. I was unknowingly in a state of depression because my shoulder and arm were only marginally useful and seemed to be getting worse by the day. You, however, treated my problems accurately, and with intensive (and sometimes painful) deep tissue therapy. Your skilled and knowledgable advice about the ice therapy and hot showers was again right on the point. My range of motion has increased dramatically. I still suffer with some of the same pains etc, but I have a new and great anticipation about being able to use my arm and shoulder again. I know of a Therapeutic Massage Clinic at home and I will ask them to contact you to see whether or not they can perform the same miraculous maneuvers that you did. Again, to say, “Thank you” does not adequately describe my gratitude and appreciation for your efferts. Sincerely,

I saw my Chiropractor this morning and passed on your findings from our last session. We were both delighted that my neck would allow him to make the adjustments this time. He is so very pleased with my progress and the fact that I see you. I am so grateful that the two of you take the time to confer about treatment procedures. Together, you have found the key to those horrendous headaches. Its such a relief not to have to dose myself up with medication anymore. I was at times having to take 2, 3 or 4 times the daily recommended dosage just so I could do the amount of reading, research, and writing I'm required to do at work. I've had chiropractic care and therapeutic massage on and off during the last twenty years. I've always had results with chiropractic, but I could never really tell a difference with the “so called” therapeutic massage. I am absolutely amazed in the differences between having therapy administered by an intelligent practitioner who is so genuinely interested in muscle therapy and considers it an art. Not only does your work help with the pain and tension immensely, but I can tell a huge difference in my energy levels. Your treatments are also expediting and allowing my chiropractic adjustments to hold in place longer which is a tremendous aid both physically and mentally.

I came to Steve at the suggestion of my chiropractor who had been working for months on alleviating some chronic neck pain. Steve immediately located several problem area's of his own and began his treatment. I could tell from the first visit that Steve has “healing hands.” Along with the treatment, Steve was loaded with a wealth of information about how to adjust daily habits to change pain-causing behaviors. My neck is virtually pain free for the first time in four months. I plan to be a regular of Steve’s for maintenance “tune-ups” and those occasional nasty tension related flare-ups. I have recommended Steve to friends and family and feel very fortunate to have found someone with such talent and profound insight towards the health and wellbeing of others.
